Many of our items take 2-3 weeks to be created due to the custom nature of our products and the number of orders we received. This time-frame does not include shipping time, of which we recommend allowing 3-5 days. We realize that this time-frame does not work for everyone, so most of our items have rush processing available. (You can find out how long an item takes to be created by checking the item(s) description.)
Rush processing places your order ahead of others so that it will ship in time for you to receive it by the date needed by. The rush processing fee does not upgrade your shipping method (unless otherwise specified in the item's description), but only places your order ahead of those who have ordered before you. With rush processing items will still ship via our standard shipping methods - usually priority mail. Priority mail normally takes 2-3 days but please note we can not guarantee this as it is not guaranteed by the Postal Servicce.
When entering the date needed by when placing your order we recommend you DO NOT enter the actual date of the event. You will need the item to arrive before that date and it never hurts to allow for a couple of extra days since every now and then a shipping service may experience unforseen delays. Please do not enter ASAP as the date needed by as this entry will not be picked up by our system and will be treated as a standard order.
Rush orders purchased on weekends, after hours (CST), or on holidays will be processed on the next business day and "Rush" times will start from then. The fee for rush processing varies by designer so if that option is not offered on the item you are interested in, please contact us first.
If your order is needed in a week or less additional expedited shipping charges may be recommended to ensure you receive your order by the date needed by. We usually need at least 2-3 days to complete an order so items may need overnight shipping to arrive by the date of your event. Please contact us with your order information to find out the cost of additional shipping charges.
If you do not select rush processing when your order is placed initially, and then you decide to add it to your order later on, there will be an additional $5 added to the original rush fee.
Please note, rush fees are non-refundable. Birthday Couture is also not responsible for any shipping delays once a package has been accepted by a shipping service.
